Korn – Love & Meth (Director’s cut)

The song’s lyrics for this music video suggest that there’s a disruptive element in the presence of someone’s life, in the wake of which is hard to choose what to do and how to react.

Giovanni Bucci’s idea here is to have an outside “force” interact with the band and document the unavoidable dramatic havoc that ensues. What could be more foreign to the contemporary metal music of Korn than the world of symphonic orchestras? Therefore an orchestra conductor is the force that manipulates the music and the actions of the band members. Most of all what’s really special about the maestro are his disturbing powers and the ability to contort in the most unusual manners. As the video unfolds it starts to be clear that something dark and evil has taken possession of his body and he is slowly being torn apart from the inside, which is showcased by some 3D animation.

Winner for Best Music Video at the American Movie Awards – 2014
